Agent Safeguards
4/10What Perplexity says about how Perplexity Computer handles the access you give it. The five scores add up to a number out of 10, with no label.
A1Logins
Credentials never reach the agent: “Only the credentials needed for the current task are injected, and they are destroyed with the sandbox”. Saved ones sit in a vault you can remove them from.
A2Capturecapture undisclosed
Every session keeps “a full audit trail”, and no page states how long logs or screenshots are kept.
A3Memory
Brain gives Computer per-entry delete, an off switch and a 30-day purge, but only on Max: “Memory makes Search personal; Brain gives Computer working context. They’re managed with separate controls.” A Pro user has no stated control over Computer’s memory.
A4Where it runs
Runs in a per-session cloud sandbox that is “destroyed after a period of inactivity”, with a filesystem “that resets when the session ends”.
A5Exit
Account data is “permanently deleted within 30 days”, but the only export is a conditional request: “In certain cases, you may ask to receive access to your data in a portable, machine-readable form.” A conditional request is not an export.
